Mid-Run Gathering: AIR by Anne van As
We are hosting a mid-run gathering at Cloud to mark the exhibition AIR by Anne van As.
We’ll stay open later, pour some wine, and create space to spend time with the works in good company. An evening to reconnect with the exhibition, each other, and the quiet world Van As captures so intimately.
In this exhibition, Van As invites us into a quiet world of plants, flowers, and remote landscapes. Places untouched by human presence, where time feels suspended. Her work captures nature in its most intimate and elusive forms: a petal enlarged, a horizon barely held by the page.
Painting becomes an act of deep observation—a solitary pause to witness what often goes unnoticed. Flowers and plants are lifted from their natural scale and softly abstracted in pale pastel tones, emerging like memories from mist. Some are framed by a white border, like stills from an old photo album—offering space for stillness, distance, and longing.
Also on view is An ongoing journey, a series of 55 miniature works that form a kind of drifting constellation. Each small painting (7 x 9 cm) holds vast scenes—glaciers, mountain ranges, mirrored lakes. Despite their size, the scale of nature is felt. They read like glimpses from a moving train, or a dream that lingers.
At a time when the natural world feels increasingly fragile, Van As’s work becomes more than a visual archive. It is a gentle plea: for attention, for care, for remembering what we stand to lose.

Introduction to Ambient Music Production with Ableton Live

Explore ambient soundscapes and learn the fundamentals in this hands-on music production workshop. Led by musician and educator Maurice Alberts (MA, MSc), you will be immersed in the basics of composing and producing music with Ableton Live.
This workshop offers a supportive space to expand your technical skills- from crafting textures to building meditative rhythms. You'll leave with immediately usable techniques and creative tools to apply to your own practice, whether you're starting out or refining your sound.
Laptops, headphones, and all necessary equipment will be provided.
